In journalism, my assignment is to connect my blog with a current event. My blog is about weddings and I am sure everyone has heard about the Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries divorce after 72 days due to irreconcilable differences. Celebrity socialite Kardashian and NBA player Humphries of the New Jersey Nets, began to date in October 2010 and engaged in May 2011. The former newlyweds married on August 2011 in the city of Montecito, California with a fairytale black and white wedding that is estimated to be about $10 million dollars.
Rumor has it that Kardashian and Humphries profited about 18 million dollar, however I am not for sure. “There are also reports that I made millions of dollars off of the wedding. These reports are simply not true and it makes me so sad to have to even clarify this. I’m so grateful to everyone who took the time to come to my wedding and I’ll be donating the money for all the gifts to the Dream Foundation,” according to Kardashian in her blog.
It makes me sad to know that a married couple is getting divorce and that goes for anyone out there. Divorce is very difficult, but it could be for the better. I feel bad for the two former newlyweds because their divorce has been all over the media. The media won’t leave them alone; therefore they can’t keep this divorce on the down-low.
Honestly, 72 days? :O It is so hard to keep up with this Kardashian. She obviously won wedding of the year, just look at the pictures! It’s pretty disappointing to see it all go to waste. This goes to show that money cannot buy happiness.
I am happy that Kardashian is going to donate her wedding money and gifts to the Dream Foundation. I think this proves that she’s not as selfish as she is portrayed by the media.
I must admit, I am a fan of watching” Keeping Up With The Kardashians” on E!. When I heard that they were getting a divorce, I was not very surprised. They actually met pretty recently and had a lot of arguments. I remember one episode when the family were going to Bora Bora, Humphries came along and commented on the eldest Kardashian’s relationship status with her baby’s father, Scott Disck. He said something like, ‘you guys act like an old married couple, show some PDA (public display of affection).’ Okay I am not sure if those were the exact words, but how rude to say. It just makes it look like Humphries believe that a relationship is based on PDA. I am not very sure if Kim and Kris were ready to tie-the-knot.
Also, I guess some viewers were annoyed about Kim’s” bridezilla” attitude and pickiness on the show. I was actually annoyed too, especially with that earring situation at Bora Bora. Let’s be honest now, all females can be demanding and be in a bad mood if they don’t get what they want. I’m sure we all done that before.
I apologize if it looks like I favor Kim than Kris. After watching the reality show, I really think Kris is really rude and mean. Just because I think that doesn’t mean I wish him the worst. I can never wish for that, I don’t have the heart to. I wish them both the best and better luck in their future.

Great post. I suggest rereading your post and fixing it up before posting. Support your opinions better, with examples or other opinions.
ReplyDeleteI never heard that Kim got divorced by his husband.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Victor, I think you should proof read before you post.
ReplyDeleteThe Kardashian wedding was definitely an event to see but I agree with you - the marriage was doomed from the start. I guess it just goes to show a flashy wedding doesn't guarantee a lifetime of bliss.
ReplyDeleteKim Kardashian's wedding was so grand and expensive. I can't believe they're just putting all of it to waste.
ReplyDeleteI find they were just doing it for money. But in any sense, great post!
ReplyDelete@Victor Why do you always have something negative to say? D: & I mean supporting my opinions with examples? I guess that's good advice, but it's just a blog post. It's not an English essay and supporting my opinions with "other opinions" ? I don't have indecisive opinions.
ReplyDelete@jeohn It's been everywhere in the media. It's a shame D:
@Aliyah I apologize haha. Proof reading sounded like a drag at 3:59 a.m. I'll try next time.
@Beilul Yeah ! It was so obvious that the relationship wasn't right.
@Michael Yeah D: at least they made "Wedding of the Year"
@Elaine Possibly :oo
